Richard (Dick) M. Schlauder, 92 of Binghamton, passed away on February 16, 2026 at Willow Point Nursing Home. Dick was predeceased by his dad and mom, Martin and Rita Schlauder, son Richard M. Schlauder Jr, daughter Elizabeth (Beth) A. Davis, stepson Michael A. Trujillo, grandson Matthew J. Hibbard and his sister and brother-in-law Karen and Charles Georgia.
He is survived by his wife Patti, his daughters Pamela Milton, Kim Hibbard, Karen Slick, Christine (Mark) Winchell and his stepdaughter Cathy (Gary) Socha. Dick also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and several special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dick graduated from Binghamton Central High School in 1951, attended Harper College in 1954 and received his Liberal Arts degree from BCC in 1975 graduating with high honors. He retired from IBM after 38 years of service. During his career at IBM, he held several management positions in areas of business systems, programming and packaging engineering. Dick was a veteran of the US Navy during the Korean War serving from 1951-1954. While residing in Vestal, NY and raising his family, Dick was active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, coached Little League at the IBM Country Club and ran a swimming program at the Vestal High School.
Dick was an active outdoors man, enjoying water sports and was a competitive recreational runner. He was also an avid downhill skier and was a US Ski Association Official working at the 1978 World Cup races in Lake Placid. He enjoyed spending time at his camp located in Raquette Lake, NY. Dick also enjoyed his home in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at The Lestershire Pub, 85 CFJ Blvd, Johnson City, NY from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
