Timothy Reardon Obituary

We are heartbroken to share that Timothy J. Reardon, 61 passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2024.  Tim was predeceased by his parents Bud and Row Reardon; mother and father-in-law Elinor and Robert Schumann; brothers-in-law Jack Murray and Bryan Schumann and his beloved fellow and ever hopeful NY Mets fan his nephew Patrick “Bones” Fitzgerald.
He is survived by his devoted wife Tracy whom he liked to remind was married to the “Jewel of the Southern Tier”; brothers and sisters Jim (Sue) Reardon, Cathy (Jack) Fitzgerald, Patrick Reardon, Kevin (Karen) Reardon, Mark (Shannon) Reardon, Colleen Murray, Shawn (Melissa) Reardon;  brother-in-law Robert (Audrey) Schumann; nieces and nephews whom he loved giving life lessons to in his “Teen Talks with Tim” Buddy, Colin, Matt, KC, Johnny, Bailey, Linsey, Jack, Brady, Connor and Madeline; great nephews and nieces Jimmy, Johnny, Tommy, Ben, Bud, Reagan, Henry and Teidi; aunt Sally Lange, Jay and Diane Casper and many cousins and countless friends.
Tim graduated from Chenango Valley High School in 1980 where he made many lifelong friends.  Timmy’s career in the restaurant business spanned many years but his greatest pride was as a co-owner of P.T. Reardon’s, working side by side with his brothers Pat and Mark.  The whole community benefited from the gatherings held there but none were as special as Parade Day and St. Patrick’s Day.
As a true Irishman Tim made friends everywhere he went; and to have a friend in Timmy meant you had a friend for life.  He loved nothing more than making people laugh with his stories or a song.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Hillcrest.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Timmy’s memory can be made to Catherine’s Cupboards Food Pantry, 1031 Chenango St. Binghamton, NY 13901.

There is less laughter in the world now. He really was “Some Kind of Wonderful.”
